The developer Pubg Krafton continues Google and Apple
Original text too short.
Grafton, the developer of PUBG: Battlegrounds, Cont respect Apple, Google, YouTube and Arena. Arena is the developer of Free Fire and Free Fire Max mobile games which, according to Grafton, violate their copyrights.
Grafton apparently contacted Arena last month, asking him to stop the development of these games, but the mobile gaming company refused. The developer PUBG has therefore decided to aggravate the situation and bring them to justice.
In addition, Grafton also named Apple and Google in the trial. They say that the two giants of technology are accomplices of this violation of copyright, having done nothing to deter developers from ripping the established securities. YouTube is directly named and hosts a number of free Fire gameplay videos that promote games.
Although it is not a secret for anyone that these mobile stores are filled with cheap counterfeits, Grafton specifically calls this developer. The two games of the company are free but have micro-transactions. Thus, Grafton alleges that they reported in Arena hundreds of millions of dollars. The friction point here is that Apple and Google get a share of their mobile store revenues. Therefore, they directly benefit from the offense of Arena.
As for the games themselves, they are very clearly similar to PUBG. They share a similar aesthetics and gameplay. In addition, Arena games even torn the use by PUBG frying stoves as melee weapons and armor.
It will be interesting to see how this trial will take place. And if this will have a greater impact on the status of gaming stores and mobile software in the future. Tell us about your reflections on the situation in the comments below.
